Jahanah Lubiano

Meet Jahanah Lubiano, an eight year old girl from the Philippines who was born with clubfoot deformity among other congenital anomalies. She has incomplete fingers on both of her hands, bilateral clubfoot, cross eyed, and a small mouth opening. She can’t have surgery to correct her cross eyes because her oral passageways are too narrow for the tubes that would deliver the general anesthesia. With all these difficulties her mother was hopeful Jahanah could have her clubfoot deformity corrected.

With the help of the Iowa Brace by Clubfoot Solutions and the Mabuhay Deseret Foundation Jahanah was able to correct her clubfoot deformity.

Now her feet are straight and she can walk normally. Her teacher was amazed to see her feet straight and her mother was so grateful and happy. Jananah loves to dance, especially during Barangay Fiestas, and now she can freely. She had wished to wear a new pair of shoes when her treatment was complete and now she is eagerly looking forward to it.

Ethan

Meet Ethan who is from the Philippines and hear about his success story in the perspective of his mother.

It is now 7 months since I gave birth to this little miracle. He measured 42 cm and 2.8 kg at birth. I still remember how amazed I felt when I first saw him and how thrilled I was to see he looked like the boy version of me. Ethan was born with talipes equinovarus, or clubfoot.

My sister found out about Mabuhay Deseret Foundation in Cubao, Quezon City which provided free treatment for clubfoot.

A month into the braces, Ethan was already comfortable. Because of the weight of the brace, his legs were really strong. He would raise his feet, all the time. He was a happy baby.

We are extremely grateful for the Mabuhay Deseret Foundation and the Iowa Brace that they provided my son. Ethan now has a bright future ahead, with no physical conditions to hold him back.

Consider donating today to help a child like Ethan correct his clubfoot.
